Enjoy five courses of smoked, grilled and braised Waipawa Butchery angus beef and lamb matched with big reds from the Gimblett Gravels Wine Growing District. Have a yarn with the winemakers circulating around the tables, the farmer and the chef.
Experience a truly unique evening at Te Awa Winery. Come and dine with all four winemakers from the Villa Maria family of wines: Richard Painter from Te Awa, Gordon Russel from Esk Valley, Hugh Crichton from Vidal Estate and Nick Picone from Villa Maria, all under the same roof.
Sacred Muse has gathered together one of the most creative trios you’ll find anywhere in the region: artist John Lancashire, chef Kent Baddeley, and award-winning Sacred Hill winemaker Jack Cornes. They’ll share inspiration and insights on three very distinct art forms; oil painting, cuisine and winemaking.
Start off the evening on the perfect note with a glass of the finest wine before proceeding to the winery for canapés and a wine discussion with the winemaker. It gets even better from here, sit-back for an extraordinary five-course dinner presented by the Chef with specialty wine matches, including some award-winning library stock wines, with live background music throughout the evening.
Church Road has teamed up with Wild Game Salamis to present the ultimate blending afternoon for game meat enthusiasts. Chief Winemaker Chris Scott will guide participants through creation of their own Church Road wine blend, while Rob Beard from Wild Game Salamis will help teams to produce the perfect wild sausage. Chris and Rob will judge their favourite combinations with Church Road prizes to be won.
It’s time to meet the brains behind all your favourite Black Barn Vineyard wines. Join legendary wine maker, Dave McKee, for this special evening of top-notch dining in Black Barn’s iconic Bistro. Sink your teeth into a moreish five-course dinner, crafted to perfection by Head Chef, Daniel Piston.
