Weekend One round-up

F.A.W.C! is making its glorious return to Hawke's Bay in less than 24 hours... have you got your tickets sorted? This is your last last chance to grab yours if you haven't!
There's nothing worse than a case of FOMO (fear of missing out), and luckily, we have a handful of events over the first weekend with a few tickets remaining.

With private wine and food experiences, Italian cuisine, a feast for vegetable lovers, gourmet toasties and apple inspired dishes all on the menu, there's an event to match every taste. Don't miss out... make some F.A.W.C!ing great plans this weekend.

Behind Closed Doors

Join exciting new tour company Fieldtrip for an exclusive audience with two of Hawke’s Bay’s boutique wine makers, in their intimate surrounds of their own homes. These producers do not have cellar doors, so you will have the rare chance to taste their wine and learn the story behind their wine making journey from the wine makers themselves.

Farina "00"

Italian cuisine will be taking centre stage at this one-off evening of delightful dining at Black Barn Bistro. Start your evening on the perfect note with canapes around the fire place, before proceeding to the main event. Talented Head Chef, Daniel Pistone, will be showing off his skills in the kitchen when he creates Italian-inspired starters and a two-course spread followed by a dessert station.

Top foodies from Napier and Hastings will battle it out in the quest to create the ultimate toasted sandwich. Will it be dripping with cheese, packed with pulled pork or chocka with chilli? Here's the lineup so far: The Picnic, Asian Diner, Vagabond Jacks, Funbuns & DCBBQ! To accompany the delicious toasties there will be craft beer and local wines brought.

Branching out with The Apple Press

A one-off of collaboration between St George’s Restaurant and The Apple Press will see the popular juice become the hero of the day, kicking off on your arrival where you will enjoy canapes served with a sample of apple press products.Prepare for a fresh two-course apple inspired dining experience... but not as you know it.

Chefs in Homes

Elephant Hill Winery and Restaurant invite you to join them for an exclusive evening at The Elephant Hill Lodge, where Executive Chef, Ashley Jones, will prepare a sublime seven-course dinner matched with Elephant Hill top range wines. This is a rare and special occasion that cannot be done at any other time.

Vege Out

Teaming up with three fabulous local suppliers, Havelock North’s award-winning Malo restaurant is bringing you an afternoon of herbivore heaven fine dining. This is a four-course vegetarian experience, with each course created to highlight stunning produce from local suppliers. You’ll hear from each supplier introducing their products and what makes it so special, before enjoying a course that heroes their ingredient.
