Alexandra Tylee, the owner of the much-loved Hawke's Bay restaurant, Pipi, and busy working mum, knows what it’s like to be tight on time with hangry children and how the daily dinner rush can become a cooking a challenge. She has a desire to make cooking interesting, satisfying and, most importantly, fun. With readily available seasonal ingredients and her trademark rustic style of cooking, Alexandra transforms even the most humble of dishes into something a little bit special.
Pipi the restaurant has been in Havelock North for over 12 years and before that Pipi was in Greytown, and before that Sydney. The Pipi philosophy is about family, fun, nurturing, good, simple, seasonal food, and love.
