After 10 or so years in advertising I spent a year training under Oak Estate’s Stefan Loetscher at the New Zealand School of Food and Wine . Not long after, I jumped straight into this Carr’s Kitchen thing with my sister, Nicole, and have been making it up as we go ever since. After a couple of years of cranking out burgers for our loyal customers at Brave Brewing Co’s original site we opened our own place in Russell Street, Hastings. We’re still cranking out our burgers, adding other diner classics such as fried chicken and waffles, while adding in a little of our Nana’s old school kiwi baking.
