From before I could walk I have been placed in the centre of a hospitality lifestyle. Being the third generation I follow my father and my grandfather before him. From this point I started my journey in the bakery industry and began learning my craft. Throughout high school I began competing at a national level and developed a high standard, winning competitions and titles such as the National Secondary School Culinary Challenge, the Bakery Industry Association of New Zealand open class live bake-off and New Zealand Secondary School Student of the Year in 2016. I also received the Lions Young Achiever Award in that year. In 2017 I begin my chefs apprenticeship with Sky City Auckland and became New Zealand's Junior Pastry Chef of the Year that year. This year I was a member of Sky City’s Toque d’Or team gaining a gold medal in kitchen and runners up over all, with also gaining the Innovation Award for my dessert. I have been named this years New Zealand’s Baker of the Year for 2018 winning the title at New Zealand’s Fine Foods Trade Show.
